Aquarium raised pond snail. The shell is golden, and the body is glassy body sports tiny sparkles within it. They have shorter triangular antennae. While not the same as a bladder snail, they are similar in behavior and reproduction. My pond snails love to swing around on roots, and use duckweed as paragliders. They do breed fast, when water conditions are right, and will even ride on eachother or other large snails to clean them. 

 

Water Parameters for Golden Shelled Glass Pond Snails:

 

Temperature: 68–78°F (20–25.5°C)

 

pH: 7.0–8.0 (neutral to slightly alkaline)

 

GH (General Hardness): 6–18 dGH (they need calcium for healthy shell growth)

 

KH (Carbonate Hardness): 4–12 dKH

 

TDS: 150–300 ppm is ideal

 

Ammonia/Nitrite: 0 ppm

 

Nitrate: <40 ppm (lower is better)

 

 

Other Care Tips:

 

Calcium is essential—consider cuttlebone, crushed coral, or liquid calcium supplements for strong, healthy shells.

 

They tolerate a wide range but thrive best in clean, well-oxygenated water with stable parameters.

 

Safe in both aquariums and ponds, though they may reproduce rapidly with plentiful food and warm temps.
